Muthu Ben Doran Hotel

Perfect perfect for the WHW. We were two friends walking and stayed here. Beds were so comfy and lovely hot bath. We dried all our stuff here with the radiator. It was perfect. Lovely staff.

Lovely quaint hotel in a wonderful location, with good views from many rooms. We arrived very late after a monumental muck up from another hotel, and the staff were very accommodating and helpful, with the night porter letting us in very late. Even when we had an issue with our neighbouring room being loud, the night porter quickly and efficiently moved us and resolved the problem right away. Excellent service. Would recommend

Only fault was the signage to the hotel. We arrived in the dark and so the hotel was not visible from the main road going into Tyndrum. The entrance to the drive was poorly lite and poorly signposted. After a long drive and poor weather this was not a good start to your stay. However, saying that once found and into the hotel the room was warm, welcoming and restful.

It is a nice hotel in Tyndrum. Needs to sort the parking out. Plenty of coach parking but lacking in car spaces (that I could see). Some of the decor is dated as are some of the rooms. The Mattress on my bed was rock hard but I slept like a rock so maybe that's a good thing? The staff were brilliant, especially the young lady running the bar on my first night there. Completely unflappable.

Excellent hotel at very reasonable rates. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. The curated art on all the walls and rooms in this hotel is exceptional! The staff are super kind and gracious and sincere in helping us — weary wet travellers off the West Highland Way. Full stars.

Undertaking a removal from newmarket to oban we needed to find a hotel to accomodate parking for 2 removal lorries. I am so glad we came upon this hotel. The staff are so so friendly and make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. The rooms are tastefully done and a great size. We had a double deluxe room . The decor around the hotel is amazing. The bar area is great. There is a games area. The restaurant is big with friendly staff. The location is amazing too. Very scenic Thank you to the team for looking after us

Stayed there during the west highland way. I was not expecting much as I read the reviews. But was very positively surprised. I booked a small single room and got a big double room with and bathtub (absolutely wonderful) and my room was actually renovated (except the bathroom). The hotel is old overall but well maintained and it makes its charm. At least it looks unique. The fake flowers could be replaced by real ones or real plants. Only negative point, the bathtub was a bit old and I couldn’t turn off the hot water. Luckily a member of the staff was in the hallway and came to help, even he struggled turning it off. I would recommend :)

I stayed here with my friend half way through the West Highland Way a little while ago. She had unfortunately fallen ill half way through our walk and we were looking for a hotel to book into at 9am for her to rest during the day and for the night. We walked to the hotel and Amir greeted us. He was so helpful and kind, helping us to book into a room before the normal check-in time and helping us with everything we needed during our stay. A lovely man and great customer service. Thank you Amir!
